NSF has reminded the Manipur government that the indefinite ban imposed on the movement of Manipur vehicles in entire Naga areas since May 4 would continue till the later complied with its demands. The ban was imposed after the Manipur government restricted movement of Nagas including NSF leaders in the southern part of “Naga homeland.” In this regard, NSF president Mutsikhoyo Yhobu and general secretary, O.Wati Jamir through a statement warned Manipuri vehicle owners to avoid plying their vehicles in the Naga areas including the NH 39 and NH 53. The NSF said that Nagaland Registration numbers have been misused by some vehicle owners in order to have free passage while some vehicles were “coolly plying” in the NH 39 in the guise of Army duty. The federations said these activities would not be tolerated and shall be dealt firmly by it. The Federation made it clear that it should not be held responsible for any loss if the Manipur vehicles defied its ban call.
