A 14 member team led by agriculture minister, Dr. Chumben Murry; Agriculture, Cooperation, Fisheries and Animal Resource Orissa minister, Damodar Rout; Dr. BSK Agriculture University vice chancellor and 11 senior government officials from Nagaland, Orissa and Tamil Nadu visited China from April 25 to May 1. The tour was organized by Indian China Alliance Center, New Delhi with the objective to study the Chinese agriculture, horticulture, dairy & livestock production system, food processing including processing of agricultural and horticultural produces and agricultural marketing system. The team visited various agriculture-related places including Weifang Scientific Vegetable Academy, Shouguang Agricultural Products Park, China International Sci-tech Fair Shouguang, and Shenyang Yong Le Agriculture Economic Zone.
The team also attended meeting with Shenyang Rural Economic Committee board of directors. Delegates from Nagaland included commissioner & secretary Horticulture, Sentiyanger and additional director Agriculture & NSAMB secretary, C. Mozhui.
