A water reservoir constructed under Entry Point Activity by Department of Land Resources was formally inaugurated on May 13 in Kulhopu village by DC Zunheboto T. Kiheto Sema.
The 30,000 litre capacity water reservoir was constructed while implementing Integrated Watershed Management Programme (IWMP). DC Kiheto called upon the villagers to set their priority towards education, village development and agriculture. He urged them to give prime importance to education, adding that education was the only option for all round development.
Earlier in the program, District Forest Officer of Zunheboto Jacto Zhimo exhorted the villagers to conserve available natural resources and preserve wildlife. Levi, District Project Officer of Land Resources Development, Zunheboto credited the mutual cooperation between the department and the villagers for achievements so far.
