46 A/C Mon clarifies on resignation

President, Congress party 46 A/C Mon town, P. Angtong Konyak has refuted the news item which appeared on April 9 on resignation on party members. It termed the resignation of Totok Chingnyu village council led by Tongam Angh and Yeangyam Council Chairman along with thirty one council members from Congress party and joining Naga People’s Front (NPF) as “false and baseless”.
Angtong Konyak while stating that the news published without proper knowledge and concern of village council members, expressed shock and surprise as to how allegations of rumor could spread indiscriminately. He also warned those signatories issuing on behalf of others that they would be doing at his own risk and asked them not to repeat the same in near future to prevent misunderstanding and creating unwanted situation among the public.
