Don Bosco Alumni Dimapur Province held its provincial council meeting at the Administrative Training Institute (ATI), Kohima on April 18. The meeting chaired by Francis Pelevituo Solo, commissioner & secretary, technical & higher education, Nagaland, who is also the provincial president of the association, was attended by 30 other executive committee members of the 9 (nine) constituent Units viz Itanagar, Dibrugarh, Dimapur, Zubza, Kohima, Wokha, Maram, Imphal and Tamenglong.
The council resolved that every Unit of Don Bosco alumni Dimapur province scattered across the states of Nagaland, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh and Upper Assam, shall conduct minimum two programs each– one towards the uplift of the less privileged, and one towards the betterment of the youth in our environment.
The council also decided to host the centenary celebrations of the Indian Federation of Don Bosco Alumni in Itanagar in January 2011 and to facilitate a contingent to attend the centenary celebrations of the World Confederation of Don Bosco Alumni to be held in Rome from September 29 to October 3. It further resolved to organize the second annual day celebrations at Itanagar from October 16 to 17.
