DCC Phek meeting
DIMAPUR: District Congress Committee (DCC) Phek has convened a meeting on April 29, 10am at Pfütsero town. All office bearers and executive members have been requested to attend the meeting.
TDATA meeting
DIMAPUR: Tuensang District Adhoc Teachers Association (TDATA) has convened a meeting on April 30 at residence of its treasurer K Tsanchumong Yim opposite GHSS to discuss current issues. Head teachers have been requested to send one Adhoc teacher representative from every school of Tuensang district.
Itovi village GB clarifies
DIMAPUR: Referring to the news item’ New citizens of Itovi village’ Head GB Bokahoto stated that new citizens had no right to claim as bonafide household members unless the matter was amicably settled by the government of Nagaland. He further stated that EAC Satoi under Zunheboto has stayed the order in this case.
KIN executive meeting
DIMAPUR: Kuki Inpi Nagaland (KIN) has convened an executive meeting on April 30, 11 am at Phaipijang village. All the Kuki GBs, chairmen and presidents of all Kuki welfare committee and all executive members have been requested to attend the meeting.
PDPA general meeting
DIMAPUR: Peren District Pensioners Association (PDPA) has convened a general meeting on April 30 at council hall, Jalukie Town with T.R. Zeliang, minister Planning and Co-ordination, Veterinary and AH, Parliamentary Affairs and Evaluation as chief guest. All the pensioners under Peren district have been requested to attend the meeting.
State BJP meet
DIMAPUR: The first Nagaland state BJP executive meeting has been scheduled on May 21, 10.30 am at the party’s office. All state office bearers, frontal presidents, cell convenors, executive members, national council members, special invitees and district presidents have been informed to attend the meeting.
KSU union assembly
DIMAPUR: Kyong Students’ Union (KSU) has convened its 2nd union assembly on May 6 and 7 at governor camp, new Ralan co-hosted by the Ralan Area Students’ Union (RASU). All federating units of the KSU have been directed to send two delegates from each unit and attend the assembly session with agendas.The union also informed all its federating units that transportation, fooding and lodging would be arranged for all delegates and borne by the union assembly secretariat. It also informed that the departure timing would be May 6, 9:30 am from police point Wokha town and to contact 9436067110 for information.
KSON on interview results of Maths G/T
DIMAPUR: Kuki Students’ Organization Nagaland (KSON) has expressed that the recent declared interview results of Maths G/T, few post are declared as ‘no candidate’ whereas there were enough candidates to fill up the vacancies, especially in Peren district. In a press statement Hentinthang, president KSON has appealed to the responsible authority to clarify the exact norms and required qualifications for the satisfaction of the candidates.
JD (U) Nagaland appoints
DIMAPUR: Janata Dal (United) Nagaland president Mhonjan Lotha has appointed Z.R. George as president JD (U) Youth state, Davis Sumi as vice president JD (U) Youth state, Vikiho Sumi as joint secretary JD (U) state, G. James as general secretary Dimapur district, Bishu Das as joint secretary Dimapur district and Chotel as treasurer state. Further, has wished their leadership a grant success in their future endeavors.
NEPS clarifies
DIMAPUR: Apropos to the new item under the caption ‘Naga parliamentarians should be bighearted’ which appeared in local dailies where Neingulo Krome was referred to as Naga Hoho general secretary should be read as “former Naga Hoho General Secretary.”
RTO organizes extravaganza
TUENSANG: Reazü Thsün Organisation (RTO) Tuensang organized an extravaganza programme on April 24 at Town hall Tuensang, in aid of the fire victim of K. Wongthu village. Some highlights of the programme included solo, free style dance, jokes, choreography, sound track, classical assemble, dances. Earlier, the programme was chaired by Christina Khiam, while the welcome address was delivered by L. Chuba advisor Reazü Thsün Organization. More than 500 congregations gathered at the extravaganza programme. Meanwhile, the organizer has also expressed gratitude to all the donors, participants and people of Tuensang for their contribution and cooperation towards the success of the programme.
Guest house inaugurated in Wapher
DIMAPUR: A guest house was inaugurated at Wapher village under Tuensang district on April 19 with parliamentary secretary, IPR, economics and statistics, R. Tohanba. Speaking on the occasion, Tohanba opined that the guest house constructed under BRGF would greatly benefit the people of the area. Reiterating on the popular slogan of DAN government ‘Peace for Development and Development for Peace’ he called upon the people of Wapher village to live in peace and harmony in order to reap maximum development activities, stated an official bulletin. Earlier invocation prayer was offered by WBC Pastor Kumkiu while Head GB Torepkiu delivered the welcome address, secretary WBC Y.K Yantsuthong said the benediction.
UCPCK meet
KOHIMA: Upper Chandmari Panchayat Council Kohima (UCPCK) held its general meeting cum felicitation programme on April 24 in the panchayat hall. The Panchayat Council along with the residents of the colony felicitated Alun Hangsing, ADC and administrator KMC, Neilietuo Kire and Ahielie Theyo, member advisory committee, KMC, all residents of the colony on their appointments. The meeting was chaired James Yanthan, secy Panchayat council, speeches were delivered by chairperson, women society, women coordinator, youth organization and chairman Panchayat council. Special songs were presented by upper chandmari women prayer group and upper Chandmari fellowship.
