Educated Unemployed Union Nagaland (EUUN) has expressed concern over reports of some ‘self-styled persons’ using various designations of EUUN and its writing pad to seek benefits and donations from ministers/parliamentary secretaries/government & departmental officials and also extorting from businessmen in and around Dimapur thereby tarnishing the name of the union.
The union said despite its efforts in submitting representation/memorandum to government and authorities some government servants claiming themselves to be educated unemployed sought assistance from the union authorities.
In this connection, the union has appealed to government and authorities not to entertain individuals seeking opportunity using various designations of EUUN without producing union membership card or without recommendation/involvement of its president/general secretary along with mobile/office phone numbers on genuine purpose.
Further, EUUN also urged them to report the matter to the responsible police administration.
