Parliamentary secretary, social welfare and woman development, Chotusüh Sazo inaugurated the 58th Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS) project at Athibung, under Peren district on April 22.
ICDS is a community programme launched for the benefit of children and woman even to the remotest part of the state.
The chief guest in his speech urged the people to make the best use of such projects initiated by the government and assured further development in near future.
The programme was attended by Tarie Zelaing, MLA, host of government officials and village elders.
Tarie in his short speech, appreciated the government and the department for bringing two more ICDS project to Peren district and urged the people to make best use of the scheme.
The inaugural function was chaired by Nezolu Rhakho, CDPO Jalukie, while vote of thanks was proposed by Akem, secretary Kuki Mother’s Association, Nagaland.
In his welcome address, Paokam Singson, vice president, Kuki INPI appreciated the government initiative for brining development to Ahthibung.
The programme was followed by cultural show exhibited by Ahthibung Cultural Troup and Beisumpuii Village.
