: Reacting to news item on April 29 in local dailies, a discharged ‘Capt’ of the GPRN/NSCN, Amos Ngullie has clarified that he did not indulge in anti social activities or issue demand notes after his discharge from the faction as alleged.
A press note issued by him stated that the Doyang incident took place on April 18 to prevent anti- social activities of Wopemo Kikon, who had earlier admitted to using arms and firing in public places.
Ngullie said that Wopemo Kikon also informed the Lotha region NSCN (I-M) on seeing him and his cadres in Doyang though they have not disturbed peace in the area. Further added that Wopemo Kikon was not a NEEPCO employee as mentioned in the report. Refuting Wopemo’s allegation, Ngullie stated that NSCN (I-M) had clarified on June 16, 2009 that Tsenchithung Yanthan died due to drug overdose and not as reported. Ngullie further asked all concerned not be misled by such reports and that he was innocent.
