Dilong Yimden raids liquor dens

Dilong Yimden (Ward Authority) in its drive against anti-social elements selling of liquor conducted raid Wednesday night at liquor dens and apprehended two persons.
The accused were later summoned to ward’s court and after they were found guilty, a fine of one pig each was imposed.On Thursday morning, the ward authority locked the two liquor dens.
The two persons caught by the authority were identified as Ajuba Sangtam and Limasunep. Officials of the ward added that it was not the first time that such cases were reported and also added that a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed with the owners of the two houses. Further, the ward authority said that in view of the forthcoming Moatsu cum Road, the Yimden has issued a circular warning any individual or group of persons that strict actions would be initiated if anyone was found violating the peaceful atmosphere of the ward.
