As a part of training, 69 cadets of Class IX and 71 cadets from Class X, the first batch of Sainik School, Punglwa escorted by teachers, went for educational and motivational tour to Visakhapatnam and Mumbai / Pune respectively in the month of of April.
According to a press note, at Mumbai, under the arrangements of Western Naval Command, the senior cadets visited the frontline warship INS Talwar and Submarine INS Sindhushastra of Indian Navy on April 24 and interacted with the officers and sailors on board and also visited the Naval Air station on April 26. They also made a brief visit to National Defence Academy, Khadakwasla (Pune) on last Tuesday.
Further, Class IX batch experienced a ‘day-at-sea’ on board INS Ranjit on April 26 under the arrangements of Eastern Naval Command, Visakhapatnam, and visited the longest-serving Submarine INS Vagli. They also sailed on board Indian Coast Guard ships ICGS Priyadarshini and ICGS Ramadevi availing the sorties meticulously planned and arranged by HQ No.6 Coast Guard District and HQ CGR (East).
