Ao union, Ao Telongjem celebrate Moatsü

Ao union, Darogajan celebrated Moatsü festival on May 1 at the residence of its treasurer with president RJD, Nagaland Kheto Kinny as chief guest. Kheto in his message said the Ao’s are more “culturally imbedded and unified”. He also congratulated the members of the union for organizing the programme, at the same time urged them to educate the future generation about importance of one’s culture. further, all Ao’s residing in Darogajan Buman Phukuri have been informed to register and be a member of the union.
Meanwhile, Ao Telongjem Jalukie town observed Moatsu festival on May 1 on the theme “Unity”, with Imtitoshi Jamir. Dy Commandant 9 IRB (Saijang) as the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest stressed on the need to preserve rich culture, inherited from forefathers. N. K. Nungsang Ozukum, president, Ao Telongjem Jalukie town addressed the gathering. S Tia. Pastor Ao Baptist Church Jalukie, graced the occasion. Other highlights of the programme included cultural dances, skits and traditional songs.
