KVCU holds first session in Mon

The first session of Konyak Village Councils’ Union (KVSU) was held at Council Hall on Friday with Deputy Commission, Mon, Dinesh Kumar, IAS as the Chief Guest.
DC appealed to the Union to extend cooperation and support the enumerators and the supervisors to bring out correct and accurate Census.
He also called upon the gathering to send their children to school, and avail free education opportunity granted by the Government.
Khoiwang, President Konyak Union, Khongjah, President KSU and Yumah, President KNSK also exhorted the gathering.
Earlier, invocation was pronounced by Chemyuh, Executive Secretary KBBB and welcome address by President KVCU, PM. Nokpai Konyak, Yoko Konyak of Wakching village and David Konyak of Tobu town entertained the gathering with melodious song. The highlights of the day were discussion of agendas and adoption of resolutions. The program ended with vote of thanks and benediction by AB. Kaiyong, General Secretary KVCU and Nahngom Pastor, KBCM respectively.
