Major General Ashok Sinha visits Sainik school, Punglwa

Maj Gen Ashok Sinha, Additional Director General (B), HQ NCC, New Delhi visited the Special National Integration Camp at Sainik School, Punglwa on May 28. He reviewed the guard of honour by cadets of 24 Nagaland Independent Company NCC.
The camp was organised by Deputy Director General (North East Region) that got underway on May 21, attended by senior division boys and senior wing girls specially chosen to represent their directorates from all over our country.
According to a defence release, Col Abhay Singh, the Camp Commandant briefed the visiting officer on various training activities and administrative issues pertaining to the camp.
Multi-cultural blend of musical and dance programme was staged by the cadets, followed by a visit to the Information Stalls displaying the achievements and achievers of the NCC, exclusive benefits for NCC cadets provided by government of India and private companies, scholarship/incentive schemes, NCC ‘C’ Certificate Special Entry in the Armed Forces etc.
The general interacted with officers and cadets while joining them at ‘tea’ prior to his departure for New Delhi.
Col Paramveer Yadav, the Officiating Group Commander, NCC Group HQ, Kohima and Gp Capt B Janardhanan, the Principal of Sainik School and other officers were present on the occasion. The camp would conclud on June 2.
