Sanitation drive at Kiruphema village

Village Education Committee (VEC) and students’ union of Kiruphema village conducted a sanitation drive on May 15.
Around two hundred and forty volunteers from various schools, youths, village council and women society participated in the sanitation drive.
During the sanitation drive, volunteers disposed plastics, papers, sweet wrappers, empty bottles and cans.
The volunteers also cleaned the whole stretch of the village.
Further, the volunteers placed seven signboards on cleanliness and thirty dustbins in and around the village and also requested the people to use it sensitively and maintain cleanliness in the village.
Earlier the programme started with invocation by Angulie, traveling pastor Western Angami area.
Welcome address was delivered by Thegosevi, president Kiruphema students union (KSU).
Briefing was also conducted by Megoneizo Sirie, chairman Village Education Committee.
The programme was chaired by Rokovizo Meze.
Vote of thanks was proposed by Thepfuyiengu, chairman PVC.
