Huge task awaits you; Kikheto tells toppers

Additional secretary (Budget) finance department, government of Nagaland, Y. Kikheto Sema on Saturday told the HSLC, HSSLC toppers and other meritorious students in this year’s NBSE exams that a huge task awaited them in the future and to live up to the expectations of the society and their community.
Kikheto was speaking as the special guest at the felicitation programme of Sumi toppers in HSLC and HSSLC cum releasing of book on career guidance organized by the All Sumi Students’ Union (SKK) at Go-karting Highway 39, Dimapur on Saturday.
The chief guest said that the meritorious students needed to continue to excel in their studies and be an example to the upcoming generation.
He said they should strive for higher goals more so because they have now been known by the society for their academic excellence and that people would be keeping a track on their future performances.
Kikheto told them that their success was only a beginning. “This is not the end but the beginning of your many successes ahead,” he said.
Kikheto, in his inspiring message also urged the parents to encourage their children even more than before and uphold them in prayers.
The chief guest also released a book on career guidance titled “Your Future” brought out by the SKK.
Speaking on the objective of the book, SKK president, Abeto Shohe said the book was aimed at helping the students choose their career line by reading what was contained in the book at the comfort of their own homes.
He hoped that the book will serve its objective and advised students to take tips from the success stories of many officers written in the book.
HSLC Exam, 2010 Top 1, Omegali also spoke at the programme.
Altogether, 11 toppers including those who secured highest mark in various subjects were felicitated with cash and certificates. However, only nine of them could attend the programme.
Dimapur Sumi Baptist Church pastor, Rev Inaho G. Swu pronounced the invocation while, Sumi Baptist Church Purana Bazar pastor, Rev Vitoi Kappo said the benediction.
The programme was attended by Sumi elders, constituent units of SKK and well wishers.
