Spreading gospel through colours, technology

A painting and computer graphics contest was organized by Youth Ministry of Dimapur Ao Baptist Church (DABA) with an aspiration to spread the love of God and the gospel, Sunday. The painting was held on the theme ‘Rediscovering the love of God’ while the computer graphics was on the theme ‘Touching human network’.
Calling upon the youth to rediscover their talents and use it for the Lord, Youth Director Toshi Longkumer averred that it was quite encouraging to see the participation and which he added has brought more fusion.
Asserting that the paintings were about ‘we and us’ but more about ‘coming together’ and spreading God’s message. Lauding the efforts of the committee members of the contest, the YD also said that it was his dream to see the paintings in public places and websites, touching the lives of people.
One of the judges, Dr Amenla, an avid painter herself expressed her satisfaction over the paintings and averred that though it was an amateur’s work, the paintings were quite good. “We are stressing more on the theme” she pointed out.
The second judge Letminthang, a graphic designer, termed the works as visually appealing and lauded the efforts of the artists for bringing out the theme beautifully. Summing up the works, Akanito Assumi, the third judge in two words said ‘good work’.
Meanwhile, the first position in the painting was won by Sunep from Lengrijan, Imtiakum of Lungmen took away the 2nd place while the third position went to Imsumanen from Town.
In the computer graphics, Akum from Yinsem fellowship was the winner followed by Yanger Longchar of Merali and the third place by Imti Imsong from Duncan.
