SBI pensioners’ annual general meeting held

The annual general meeting of SBI pensioners’ association (N.E. Circle) was held on Sunday at the conference hall of SBI officers’ association in the city. Speaking as the chief guest on the occasion, Rajiv N. Mehra, general manager SBI lauded the contribution of the pensioners whose hard work and dedication, he said, has made SBI one of the formidable banks in the world.
Earlier, while delivering the welcome address at the inaugural session Syamal Chakrabarti, general secretary SBIPA, informed the audience that the total membership of the Association has crossed the 600 mark and is increasing steadily.
Others who spoke on the occasion were Brojen Borthakur, president SBIPA; Samir Kr. Mukherjee, general secretary, SBIOA; Bhupen Kalita, president all India SBI staff Federation; and H. K. Dhar, circle development officer, SBI N.E. Circle. Amal Kr Bhattacharjee was felicitated for attaining 75 years of age as also for his contribution to the Association.
During the business session that followed, it was announced that SBI has now provided an exclusive space for setting up the Association’s own office on the first floor of the SBI Administrative Office Building at Bhangagarh in the city.
