In response to NSCN (I-M)’s MIP statement, published in local dailies May 30 with regard to purported remarks by some ENPO officials at Viswema village during consultative meeting with Th. Muivah, the Eastern Naga People’s Organisation (ENPO) today clarified that their statement, particularly in the last paragraph, was never stated. A joint statement issued by ENPO vice presidents Khaming Khiamniungan and Chingmak Chang, joint secretary Mosa Konyak and advisor P.Heno Khiamniungan, said ENPO was authorized and officially represented by them. Stating that ENPO was neither an instrument/tool nor party to any in particular, the signatories said ENPO was rather a “party to all and friends to all.” Meanwhile, the ENPO underlined that it “shall be compelled to review such misgivings and statements with seriousness in future.”
