Green succession plantation drive
DIMAPUR: Green succession of Nagaland will be conducting plantation drive on world environment day on June 5 on the theme ‘One world, one dream’. The plantation drive would start from City tower junction to Hotel Tragopan along the road divider and SBI maintained gardens at super market.

Church leadership training
DIMAPUR: The police Baptist Fellowship (DEF), Kiphire would be conducting Church leadership training and Church installation programme from June 5 to 6 and the resource person will be Rev. Dr. N. Mong Lotha, executive secretary NPBCA.
DIMAPUR: The Tsopo Students’ Union (TSU) and planning committee has convened a meeting on June 12 at village community hall, Tsopo at 4pm. All the present and former office bearers, members of various committees, elders and responsible people of Tsopo village have been requested to attend the meeting.
KOHIMA: Emergency meeting of All Nagaland Taxi Association (ANTA) has een convened on June 5, 11 a.m at Kohima HQ, Union office. All units have been informed to send one representative at attend the meeting.
ANTA informed that as per the resolution passed by the house in its general body meeting all taxis are to be issued first aid kits. As such ANTA has prepared first aids kits worth Rs.150/- per kit to supply it to all taxis.
KBYF prayer meeting
KOHIMA: The Kohima Baptist Youth Fellowships (KBYF) will be holding prayer meeting on June 5,7 am at Chang Baptist Church , Kohima. All youths of Kohima have been requested to attend the prayer meeting.

Seminar held on drugs, alcoholism
DIMAPUR: Kangtsung Baptist Church and village council organized a two-day seminar on drugs and alcoholism was held at Kangtsung village from May 20-30 on the theme ‘a time to heal and rebuild’ with superintendent of excise Mokokchung, L. Wati Jamir and DHD chaplain, Rev. K. Mar Pongen as resource persons. Kangtsung Baptist Arogo pastor, N. Toshi has informed that the church and village council have resolved to prohibit sale and consumption of intoxicant items including drugs, liquor, talab, tez etc under the village jurisdiction.

Zunheboto farmers grateful
DIMAPUR: The District Horticulture Officer (DHO) Zunheboto, Shikato Kinimi on behalf of Zunheboto farmers has expressed gratitude to Central Institute of Horticulture, Medziphema for conducting integrated pest management in Citrus and banana in Akuluto town under Zunheboto district on May 29 where altogether 100 trainees participated.
MMC directs shop owners to put CFL bulb
DIMAPUR: Mokokchung Municipal Council (MMC) has directed all shop owners to put CFL bulb in front of their shops as before June 5. The directive was issued by ADC and MMC Administrator, R. Asenla Keitzar, who said many shops were found without the prescribed bulb during checking conducted on May 31. MMC notified that appropriate action would be taken against those shops failing to follow the instructions. MCC has restricted slaughtering of pig within residential areas and directed all pork sellers within MMC jurisdiction to locate suitable place in the outskirt of the town for slaughtering.
