Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) has directed to all associations and Churches to extend support and cooperation towards success of ongoing census operation in Nagaland. NBCC in a press statement issued by general secretary Rev. Dr. Anjo Keikung called upon all Baptist Church leaders and members to rise up and use their power and authority to exercise their fundamental duty with utmost truth and honesty.
Stating that manipulations and illegal practices were reported in the past, NBCC called upon all Christians to shun from such practices as the credibility and authenticity of the Census will have long term ramification to the future of the people which would include promotion of fair political system, governance, development etc.
The NBCC made a clarion call to all Christians to seize the opportunity to act conscientiously in such a way as to leave behind a legacy of doing what is right for the sake of posterity and the generations to come by helping establish an accurate and reliable census on the state’s population in the ongoing Census 2011.
