Meet on railway link
DIMAPUR: Emergency meeting of affected villages/landowners under Medziphema sub-division with regard to proposed railway link has been convened on June 4, 10 a.m at Medziphema Town hall.
CANSSEA meeting
DIMAPUR: Executive meeting of CANSSEA has been convened on June 4, 11 a.m in CANSSEA’s building, Themezie Kohima to discuss and decide on important agendas pertaining to the demand of 6th ROP. Two representatives from each divisional and sub-divisional units of CANSSEA, service associations / departments including core group members have been informed to attend the meeting.
Nagaland Disabled Right Union formed
DIMAPUR: The Nagaland Disabled Entrepreneurs in a meeting held on May 26 at People in Need Foundation conference hall formed a union called “Nagaland Disabled Right” with aims and objective to make people aware of PWD Act 1995 and RTI for the Rights of Disabled people. Further, the members of the union are L. Senti Walling as president, Lhikhro Kreo as vice president, P. Yanglise Anar as secretary, Arenba Ao as joint secretary and Imti Jamir as treasurer.
ESSU meeting
DIMAPUR: The planning board of golden jubilee celebration of Eastern Sumi Students’ Union (ESSU) has convened a meeting on June 12 at Circuit House, Dimapur at 10am. All the members, sub-committee and local organizing committee members and all responsible have been requested to attend the meeting.
NZC meeting
DIMAPUR: The Northern Zeme Council (NZC) has convened a meeting on June 5 at NZC hall, Ngwalwa town at 10am. All the village councils under Northern Zeme area, public leaders and elders of Zeme area, political parties, NGO, Church elders and government officers of Zeme tribe have been requested to attend the meeting.
SAKD general meeting
DIMAPUR: Sumi Aphuyemi Kuqhakulu Dimapur (SAKD) has convened a general meeting on June 5 at the residence of banker, Nepali Bosti at 10am. All executives, board members and advisors have been requested to attend the meeting.
BSNL connection
DIMAPUR: BSNL would be providing connection in the Longleng road show scheduled on June 5 and 6 at public ground, Longleng. Those interested in BSNL connection have been requested to submit the following documents for identity proof and address, latest passport size colour photograph, pan card or driving licence or bank account passbook issued by central or state government, authorized organization or department for address proof issued by head GB or chairman of village council.

DIMAPUR: The executive committee of Chakhro Angami Kuda Union (CAKU) has convened an emergency meeting advisory committee on June 5 at union office, Phevima at 10am. All responsible have been requested to attend the meeting.
BKD meeting
DIMAPUR: The Benreului Kangbau Dimapur (BKD) has convened a meeting on June 5 at the residence of Heikim Meru, chairman, Lingrijan Dimapur at 9am. All the office bearers, colony executive, auditors and advisor of BKD have been requested to attend the meeting.
New Yoga centre in Dimapur
DIMAPUR: A new yoga centre of Patanjali Yog Samiti, Haridwar would be inaugurated on June 6 at Sing & Sing Company complex, near DC Court junction Dimapur at 5am. All interested persons have been requested to register their name or contact the centre in-charge P.K. Gupta on 9774009729. Further, informed that a five days yog teachers’ orientation camp is going on in Kerala Samajam building, Midland Dimapur from 6pm to 8pm.
Road shows to continue
DIMAPUR: State government has decided that road shows would continue as scheduled and announced that officers specifically assigned with census work should be divested of all other forms of work so as to enable them to pursue their work without any disruption. Additional Chief Secretary & Development Commissioner, Alemtemshi Jamir has also directed all AHoDs and HoDs to take action and separate them from the officers entrusted with census duty from assignment during Road Shows to prevent disruption to ongoing census exercise.
Patta holders registration in Ngwalwa town
DIMAPUR: All the patta holders of Ngwalwa Town, Peren district have been informed to register their respective names to the Ad-Hoc Town Council, Ngwalwa Town office on or before June 11. This has been informed in a press statement issued by Kezai, vice chairman Ad-Hoc Town Council.
H&FW new directorate building
DIMAPUR: Minister for Health & Family Welfare, Kuzholuzo Nienu will inaugurate the new Directorate Building of Health & Family Welfare on June 4, 10 a.m at New Secretariat Complex (Rüziezou) Kohima. Minister for Planning & Coordination, Veterinary & AH, T.R Zeliang will flag off the ambulance as guest of honour.
GBUD appeals for cooperation towards census
DIMAPUR: The GB’s Union Dimapur (GBUD) has appealed to all GBs and especially those under DMC to give full co-operation to the party who come for National Census in their respective colony or area.The union further requested all GBs to submit their contact number to the union office on Wednesday for easy communication.
Ruzazhomi and Thevopisumi meeting
DIMAPUR: The Ruzazhomi and Thevopisumi village consulate forum has convened an emergency meeting on June 9 at Phek Town GA Rest House at 12pm. All members from both the villages have been requested to attend the meeting.
YAN cautions against bogus members
DIMAPUR: The Youth Association of Nagaland (YAN) has informed all responsible not to entertain any person who approaches on behalf of YAN on any matter without proper authorization of the president and general secretary of the association and that whoever does would be doing at their own risk. In a press communiqué H. Career guidance book for ASSU members
DIMAPUR: All Sumi Students’ Union (ASSU) has requested all Sumi students studying in Class X, XI and XII to obtain a complementary copy of career guidance book entitled ‘Your Future’ from their respective unit president. The union also expressed gratitude to all individuals who have contributed articles and helped in making the book come into reality. Meanwhile, ASSU has felicitated Livika K Chophy for securing top 7th position in Class XII examination under MBOSE from Seven Set Anex Higher Secondary School, Shillong.
GPS Paglapahar inaugurated
DIMAPUR: GPS Paglapahar (New Chumukedima) was inaugurated on May 27 in the presence of DIS Dimapur, Y. Khetoshe Yepthomi and team, including EBRC Medziphema coordinator, Mangkholam. The village education committee (VEC), through its chairman, Tounyü Meyase has expressed gratitude to department of school education, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) under the leadership of state chief minister, Neiphiu Rio for sanctioning the new GPS. VEC also extended gratitude to Pekru-u Shüya for donating an area of land measuring 250x125 feet for the school.
DIMAPUR: Apropos to the news item published in a local daily on May 29 issue which stated that some of the districts did not have ‘JJB and CWC’, Joint Director Keweu of Social Welfare department clarified that all 11 districts have set up ‘JJB and CWC’ but ‘may not be functioning properly’.

Dimapur: A bunch of keys was found outside LCS building, Kohima near Ao Church Midland. Rightful owner has been informed to collect the keys from Zumvü Printex or contact 9856275293.
CSUTT on mid-day
meal scheme in Tsg
DIMAPUR: Chang Students’ Union Tuensang Town (CSUTT) on observing the negligence in implementing mid-day meal scheme in many GMS and GPS under Tuensang district has appealed to responsible authority to implement the mid-day meal scheme according to government guidelines.
In a press communiqué press and information secretary CSUTT David Ben Chang also highlighted that Airtel and Aircel customers were facing network failure every night from 8pm to 6am which had hindered communication especially in times of emergencies. Union also requested responsible authorities to ensure smooth functioning for benefit of all the citizens.
Incentives for CWSN
DIMAPUR: Incentives for Children with Special Needs (CWSN) under DMA SSA Dimapur would provided, for which all head of government and private schools, VECs and ToTs in charge of IED under Dimapur district have been informed to submit the details of all CWSN in the age group 6 to 14 years studying in their respective institutions to DMA SSA Dimapur on or before June 25. CWSN who are not going to school are to submit particulars to VEC chairman in their respective area/block.
Meanwhile, details required are as name, father’s name, age, gender, category of disability, class, name of school (if going to school), address with house number/village and contact number. Further, informed that CWSN who have already submitted for uniform and escort allowances need not apply and for more details to contact on 9436230730.
