Ralanthung inaugurates sub-health center at Okotso village

A two room model sub- health center to cater to health needs of the locality and Okotso village was inaugurated by Deputy Speaker, NLA Ralanthung Yanthan, who graced the occasion as chief guest.
Describing Okotso sub- health center as a model health center in Wokha district, CMO, Dr. N. M. Kithan lauded villagers of Okotso for contributing and constructing the health center which was the most essential needs of the villagers especially women and children. Stating that among 132 recognized and 20 unrecognized health centers in the district, Okotso village health center is one of the well established health center which had also been awarded by medical department and state government.
Speaking on the occasion, chief guest, Ralanthung Yanthan, deputy speaker, NLA urged the villagers to support DAN government in order to bring more development in the area.
Deputy Commissioner Wokha, Roviloutuo Mor also urged people of Okotso villagers to be an example to the other Lotha villages.
Stating that backwardness was not an excuse, DC said villagers should be determined in taking the society forward.
Pusazo, vice president NPF (central) i/c Wokha division in his exhortation lamented on the state of road connectivity in the Lotha area. He also urged the gathering to preserve leaders and support the government.
T. L Merry who spearheaded the project in his welcome speech thanked DAN government under the able leadership of chief minister, Neiphiu Rio and Dr. Shurozelie for leading the Naga people in the right direction and in bringing development even to the remotest area in Nagaland.
He also lauded the various contributions made by chief guest, the villagers especially the village council members in bringing the project to success.
Others who were present on the occasion include Deputy CMO, Dr. Nuchumbemo Ezung, departmental officers, NPF state functionaries and elders from Dimapur, Kohima and Wokha.
Earlier, Rev. Moses Murry general superintendent, AG of NE invoke God’s blessing and Benathung Ngully chairman WOE chaired the programme.
