Innovative schooling project oranised in Mon

A two day orientation course on ‘Alternative Innovative Schooling’ (AIS), a project under SSA and named in local dialect ‘Laipan te taihah’ which mean ‘Lets go to school’ got underway on Thursday. The course was organised by Walo organisation, Mon.
A total of 45 volunteers from learning centres have been trained in the first phase and the rest would be imparted orientation in the second phase.
The organisation also identified that main aim would be to impart reading, writing, arithmetic and comprehension skills to the children and to further mainstream them into regular schools.
Resource persons include Phangnon Konyak, Chief Functionary Walo organisation and Angel Konyak, Head Mistress Little planet school, Mon.
The training was conducted in participatory, interactive mode which was used in the learning centers.
