Catholic Church urged to cooperate in census

Delegate of Apostolic administrator, Rev. Fr. Carolus Neishalhou Kuotsu has on Thursday appealed to all faithful of Catholic Church, Nagaland to take active part in the ongoing census operation.
Speaking from his office at Catholic Cathedral, Kohima, he had assured authorities of Government of Nagaland engaged with census that Catholic Church would encourage all faithful to furnish correct data as and when they were approached.
He also said, “One should not shy away from giving correct data of oneself, one’s family, religion, place of origin and other information in the interest of the country.”
Taking into account the current situation in Nagaland and Manipur the delegate expressed his concern for the people who were affected.
He also promised that Church would pray to God to inspire the leaders with understanding and wisdom so that they would work for justice, peace, love and social harmony.
