Notwithstanding the reason, your programme has created hardship for the people of Manipur,” stated the letter signed by ASSU president, Sankar Prasad Ray and general secretary, Tapan Kumat Gogoi.
As an organization, the AASU said their first option was to settle issues through discussion stating that the time has come to discuss all the issues between different states of NE region in an atmosphere of understanding and with a sense of belongingness to the region. “There can be useful discussion between NSF and AASU,” the letter said calling for marching together with a spirit of brotherhood.
