DC Tuensang brief villagers on census 2011

Deputy Commissioner & Principal Census Officer Tuensang, Y.L. Jami, on Saturday called upon enumerators, charge officers and supervisors of Tuensang district to carryout the census 2011 in appropriate manner.
Census operation 2011 should be done in positive attitude and bogus census report should be done away with for the benefit of the people. DC said while visiting Shamator, Sekiur ‘B’ and Wapher village on Saturday. He urged the enumerators to be very careful and sincere while performing their duties in various places.
The DC stressed on the importance of Census operation 2011 saying that correct information about population including, house listing, house census scheduled and National Population Register (NPR) was very necessary and was important for the common rights of the people. He also called upon all sub- divisional census officers to monitor seriously whether the works were being carried the right direction.
“We cannot escape when the higher authorities verify along with the computerized machines such as finger print machine etc”, the DC said while also seeking co-operation from various quarters to assist census officials during the course of operation in the various parts of district.
DSO and deputy district census officer Tuensang R. Thsanso and census nodal officer Tuensang Athise also appealed the enumerators for correct information on census operation 2011. While visiting various part of Tuensang district ,the enumerators and village council also assured to work and submit accurate figures of population.
