SBI, trader’s meet held in Dmu

A traders’ meet was organized by regional business office, Dimapur at Hotel Saramati, Dimapur on June 5 under the chairmanship of A. K. Das, AGM, RBO, Dimapur. Out of the invitees, 35 traders/businessmen from all over Dimapur town attended the meeting.
T. A. P. Paul, deputy manager (marketing & sales), RBO, Dimapur, welcomed the members of traders’ community, while A. K. Das, highlighted the purpose of the meet and expressed that such meet would provide opportunity for traders to interact directly with the bank and also bring them closer.
He also briefed the participants on the hierarchical functioning of local head office (LHO) and the regions like Dimapur which is looking after the whole Nagaland with 50 branches & 36 ATMs, adding that another 10 ATMs would be installed soon, and also urged the traders’ community to join the SBI stream.
B. A. Laskar, spoke in detail about different schemes of the bank finance relating to business community, more relevant to traders in Dimapur, like SME Power Gain, SME Power Pack, RTGS, NEFT, multicity cheque, traders easy loan, rent plus, open term loan, school plus, finance to restaurants, SBI Shoppe, SME Car loan, SME credit card, SME smart score, debit card, credit card, etc.
In the interaction session, the traders’ raised questions on whether ATM Debit Card was valid outside India, whether housing loan repayment start before moratorium period, whether branch manager can sanction car loan or given discretionary power for sanction since all the branches of Dimapur region were linked to RCPC, Dimapur, delay in sanctioning loan proposals at RCPC, Dimapur, the reason for not introducing credit card at Dimapur whereas others like ICICI, HDFC have introduced this facility since long time back, and lastly installation of POS machines in large shops in Dimapur town.

Lakra, deputy manager (systems), RBO, Dimapur, chief managers/branch managers of Dimapur based branches.
