IIJT seminar on computer accountancy
DIMAPUR: Indian Institute of Job-Oriented Training (IIJT) Kohima will be organising a one hour presentation on Computer Accountancy on June10, 11 am at the IIJT, Kohima, office hall. According to an official bulletin, the purpose of the presentation is to generate awareness among the offices about various accountancy software packages, which will enable accurate and smooth functioning of the accounts and finance section of the departments. The seminar is organised keeping in mind various industrial requirements as there is an increasing demand for skill employees in different specialised fields.
Entries for 24th All India Contest and Exhibition
KOHIMA: Department of Art and culture informed that the South Central Zone Cultural Zone Centre (SEZCC) Nagpur is organizing the 24th All India Contest and Exhibition 2010 for both professional and youths. The exhibition would comprise of paintings, graphics, drawings and sculpture plus three open awards for traditional, tribal and folk paintings. The last date of receipt of photographs, transparencies of Artifacts would be June 30 at Nagpur. Interested artist have been requested to collect prospectus and other details from the directorate of art and culture, art wing during office hours.
NSCD general meeting
DIMAPUR: New Shena Community Dimapur (NSCD) has convened a general meeting in coordination with New Shena church construction program committee on June 12, 10am at the residence of Hokheto Kits at Mishikito, Dimapur.
WSYF meeting
DIMAPUR: Western Sumi Youth Front (WSYF) has convened a meeting on June 12, 10am at Western Sumi Hoho conference hall. All the front office bearers, presidents of Western Sumi Frontal organizations, area chairmen and responsible personalities who are part of youth front have been requested to attend the meeting.
Darogapathar village health nutrition day
DIMAPUR: The monthly village health nutrition day was held on June 4 at Darogapathar village, 2 ½ mile Dimapur by AWWS, ASHAS, ANMs, Pris and others. According to a press note, around 100 to 120 children below the age group of 5 years were given vaccine and iron folic vitamins were distributed free of cost to poor, needy and destitute children by Health department. Meanwhile, the Village Health Committee (VHC) of Darogapathar 2 ½ mile Dimapur has expressed gratitude to chief medical officer and all responsible staff for their concern. VHC further informed that similar health nutrition day would be held again in the first week of July.
KLSU annual membership fees
DIMAPUR: Kohima Lotha Students’ Union (KLSU) has informed all the Lotha students union to collect the annual membership fees for the present year from June and the amount has been fixed as Rs. 10 for Class 3 to 7, Rs. 20 for Class 8 to 12 and Rs. 30 for BA and above. All the Lotha students studying in schools and colleges have been requested to cooperate towards the collection of membership fees and to contact 9615852343, 9615936100 and 8014563055 for more information.
LGBUD clarifies
DIMAPUR: Lotha GBs Union Dimapur (LGBUD) has clarified that the guest of honour for 5th Raising Day of the union would be Ntsemo Ngullie, general secretary Naga Council Dimapur and not as mentioned.
NDDGDU general meeting
KOHIMA: Nagaland Directorate and District Government Drivers’ Union (NDDGDU) has convened a general meeting on June 26 at Kohima. All district representatives have been requested to attend the meeting.
NSU meeting
KOHIMA: Nsunyu Students Union (NSU) has convened a meeting on June 13, 12 noon at its office headquarters at Chunlikha. All executives, advisors, officers, public leaders, church leaders, senior students and members have been asked to attend the meeting.
SAKK informs
KOHIMA: All units under Sumi Aphuyemi Kiphimi Kuqhaqulu (SAKK) have been directed to submit necessary details of the present SAKK members, former SAKK office bearers and unit president and GS to the SAKK officers by July 10 to be included in telephone directory. Failing which, the SAKK warned that their unit representative would not be included in the directory.
LSU fresher ‘s day
KOHIMA: Losami Students’ Union (LSU) will hold its 22nd fresher’s day on June 19 at Government High School Losami on the theme ‘strive for excellence’ with Eyekowe PS to Yitachu as the chief guest. All fresher’s have been asked to submit a photo copy of their HSLC admit card and mark sheet to the general secretary for office record. All freshers have been asked to attend programme failing which absentees would not be recognized by the union.
REUU consultative meeting
KOHIMA: Rengma Educated Unemployed Union (REUU) has convened A joint consultative meeting with R. Khing, parliamentary secretary, horticulture as chief guest on June 11, 10 am at Tseminyu town hall. All village councils, church elders and members of the union have been requested to attend the meeting.
NSDU cautions members
KOHIMA: Nagaland Secretariat Drivers’ Union (NSDU) has cautioned its union members against the use of alcohol or wearing slippers, half-pant and tracksuit while on official duty. The union also cautioned that action would be taken against defaulters.
LHD condemns imposter
DIMAPUR: Lotha Hoho Dimapur (LHD), Kohima Lotha Hoho (KLH) has condemned the act of Sorenthung Lotha, who was apprehended by Dimapur police while posing as PA to chief minister Nagaland under the name “Nike Rio”. The Hohos stated that his act of impersonation has caused great embarrassment to the community, and urged the responsible authority to punish him as per the provision of law. Meanwhile, LHD has extended appreciation to SP Dimapur, his subordinates and personnel for their efficient discharge of duty.
