A Naga group in Facebook called “We the Nagas” has appealed the DGP of Nagaland to rescue and help a Naga boy Rokovilie, aged around 11-12 of Chakhesang tribe who was seen in train stations by Naga travellers on different occasions.
The administrator of the page E.M. Odyuo said the boy worked as a sweeper in Siliguri station to earn his daily wages.
Talking to Odyou, the boy said that he and his younger sister was lured by non-locals a few years back and was taken to Siliguri.
The boy stated that his sister was kept under their control while he was made to earn daily wages and submit the amount to the “boss” failing which they used to be beaten up.
Earlier, the boy tried to escape but was caught at Guwahati by vendors who were also linked to the “boss”. While interacting with Odyuo, Rokovilie said his parents resided at Burma camp, Dimapur but doubted they might have changed residence. The administrator has further appealed to log on to for more of the story and help in rescuing the children.
