Hunting, fishing banned in Zbto

Zunheboto District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) members after thorough deliberation have resolved to ban hunting and fishing all over Zunheboto district.
This was resolved at DPDB meeting held on June 8 at DC’s conference hall under the chairmanship of Parliamentary Secretary Industries & Commerce and Chairman of DPDB, Dr. Nihoshe. The meeting announced that ban would come into effect from June 1 for a period of 2 years and defaulting villages should forfeit their VDB fund. DC T. Kiheto and Chief Advisor of the ZTC Huska Yepthomi appealed to protect wild life in the district.
Agenda discussed at the meeting included final utilisation of treasury office, opening of new Police Station, additional Police Station at South point Zunheboto, maintenance of road from Achikuchu in Zunheboto to Longkhim in Tuensang, construction of DIET and land acquisition, Road Show, Grant-in-aid to Woodland Hr Sec School Zunheboto, Lov Dale Hr Sec School was recommended for consideration. Medical sub-health centre at Ustomi village was recommended and multipurpose town hall at CMO office complex site was discussed.
