Totok Chingnyu Village Council (VC) chairman, Yeangyam Konyak and chief Angh, Tongam Konyak have expressed surprise over clarification issued by 46 ACCC (I) Mon president, P. Angtong Konyak which appeared in local dailies on May 17 regarding their resignation from congress party to join NPF.
The VCC and chief Angh, on behalf of all the signatories further clarified that their decision to resign from congress party was arrived at a joint meeting of the signatories on April 9, whereby they submitted their resignation letter to DCC (I) Mon president.
