ANPSTA Phek Unit
DIMAPUR: Emergency meeting of ANPSTA Phek Unit has been convened on June 12, 12 p.m at EBRC Pfutsero, to discuss some important issues regarding the agitation to be held on June 22 at Kohima organised by ANPSTA. All members along with parents/guardians have been requested to attend the meeting.
SOUDA meeting
DIMAPUR: Shena Old Union Dimapur Area (SOUDA) has convened a general meeting on June 12, 10 am at the residence of Er V Ghoshito, union banker Padumpukhuri Dimapur. All Shena Old villagers residing in Dimapur and surrounding areas have been requested to attend the meeting.
DDCF meeting
DIMAPUR: Dimapur District Citizens’ Forum (DDCF) has convened a meeting on June 12, 10 am at Crown hotel, near Town Hall Nagarjan junction, Dimapur. All the constitution drafting committee, legal advisors and office bearers have been requested to attend the meeting.
ESZTSU meeting
DIMAPUR: Eastern Sumi Zunheboto Town Students’ Union (ESZTSU) has convened a joint meeting on June 12, 12 noon at the residence of union banker. All executive members, advisors of ESZTSU and Aghunato eastern union Zunheboto (Aghunato Kipelau Kuposhukulu Zunheboto) have been requested to attend the meeting.

DIMAPUR: MetatrIQs Youth Centre (MYC) Wokha has informed that it would be conducting curriculum augmentation program for HSLC repeaters at Mount Carmel School, Wokha from July to November. DIMAPUR: NPF 6-tening A/c along with division, central and frontal office bearers would be touring the constituency on June 15, 10 am Ahthibung town. All presidents, secretaries of Ahthibung and Kabai Khelma village units have been requested to attend the meeting.
Khriezephe VC notifies land owners
DIMAPUR: Khriezephe Village Council (VC) has notified land owners/shareholders of Khriezephe village, Chumukedima to meet VC chairman on or before June 15 or contact 9862874763, 9774975071, failing which council chairman, Jonah Kemp cautioned that VC would not be held responsible in any manner regarding respective land under the village.
NPF party president convenes meeting
DIMAPUR: Nagaland People’s Front (NPF) president, Dr. Shürhozelie has convened a meeting on June 16, 11am at NPF central office, Kohima to discuss the present political scenario. Central office bearers, frontal presidents and one general secretary each, convener, member secretary of cells, and all division presidents have been requested to attend the meeting.

DIMAPUR: Tamang Buddhist Welfare Society (TBWS) has elected a new team of office bearers with Loknath Lopchan as president, Roshan Lopchan as general secretary and other members.
Shifting of venue
DIMAPUR: Venue for Dimapur Sungratsu Fellowship (DSF) programme scheduled on June 13 has been shifted to Dimapur Merali Fellowship, near Sub-Jail. All members have been requested to take note of the changes and attend the fellowship.
Ozy Hotel clarifies on news report
DIMAPUR: The owner of Ozy Hotel, BOC Kohima has refuted the report on the arrest of two extortionist identified as ‘ss’ NSCN-IM Leacy and identified as one Kenie Angami along with a civilian accomplice Soba Angami by a patrol party of IRB and personnel of South police station Kohima on June 4 earlier.
According to the owner of Ozy Hotel, the two arrested neither checked in nor were arrested from the hotel on that day as reportedly quoted by the police.
Appeal for release of CDPO Mangkolemba
DIMAPUR: The Naga Council (NC) and Muslim Council Dimapur (MCD) have expressed pain to learn that T Sashi, a Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) of Mangkolemba, Mokokchung and a permanent resident of Ao Kashiram, Dimapur went missing from June 5 in Assam. The councils in a joint press statement have appealed to the kidnappers to release the officer on humanitarian ground as he is physically handicapped, a diabetic patient and suffering from hypertension.
DC Wokha notifies on claims and objections
DIMAPUR: Deputy Commissioner Wokha, Rovilatuo Mor informed that electoral roll for 37 Tuyi, 38 Wokha, 39 Sanis and 40 Bhandari has been prepared in accordance with registration of electoral roll 1960, where a copy of the draft was made available for inspection at DC’s office during office hour and at polling station locations. For any claims for the inclusion of a name in the roll or any objection should be lodged on or before June 17 in forms 6, 7, 8 and 8 (a) as may be appropriate. Such claims or objections should either be presented to the DC or the designated officer/booth level officer.
KBYF fellowship
KOHIMA: Kohima Baptist Youth Fellowships (KBYF) quarterly fellowship meeting will take place on June 12 at 3 pm at Chakhesang Baptist Church, Kitsubozou. All the youth directors of the fellowships are requested to attend the service.
V&AH dept notifies
KOHIMA: Department veterinary and animal husbandry (V&AH) informed the district veterinary officer to vaccines for vaccination against economically important diseases of livestock and poultry. Vaccines may be collected during working hours in the directorate office.
New Herbal garden
DIMAPUR: Herbal Garden and tree plantation at Nagaland Zoological Park Rangapahar, Dimapur will be inaugurated on July 11, 9 a.m by the department of forest, environment & wild life. The inaugural programme will be graced by Minister for Forest, Environment & Wild Life, Excise, M.C. Konyak as chief guest and MLA & Advisor for Sericulture & Co-operation Azheto Zhimomi as guest of honour.
WTC informs
DIMAPUR: Chief Executive Officer Wokha Town Council, Ethel O. Lotha has directed all establishments of essential commodities under Wokha town not to import essential commodities without obtaining import, transit permit from the office of CEO Wokha Town Council. Anybody found failing to comply with the order would be imposed with a fine of Rs. 2000 as per Municipal Act 2001.
Water supply to parts of Kohima affected
KOHIMA: Water supply to parts of Kohima has been affected due to 200 mm dia and 80 mm diameter pipe lines which were damaged while constructing Diversion Road at NH-39 near War cemetery. Informing this in a press release, superintending Engineer PHED, Kohima Circle -1 said water supply would be restored within one or two days and has expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to the consumers.
World Day against Child Labour
DIMAPUR: The department of Labour in collaboration with Community Education Centre Society (CECS), Dimapur would be organizing an awareness campaign in commemoration of World Day against Child Labour on June 12 at IMC, Fellowship colony Dimapur at 10am with Er T Saku Aier, parliamentary secretary for Labour and Employment and Housing as chief guest. Further a child labour awareness march from Tourist Lodge junction to IMC would be held on June 12 starting at 7am.
Nationalist Congress Party foundation day
DIMAPUR: Celebration of 12th Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) foundation day would be held on June 12 at State Academic Hall, Kohima below Hotel Japfu at 12 noon. Member of Parliament RS, Thomas A Sangma would be the chief guest and opposition leader, Government of Meghalaya, Conrad Sangma would accompany the chief guest. All state officials, frontal chiefs, district presidents, officials, mahilas and youths have been requested to attend the celebration.
DIPR clarifies report
DIMAPUR: DIPR has clarified the news item on hunting and fishing ban in Zunheboto which was published in local dailies and Naga News. According to an official bulletin, the ban would come into effect from July 1 and not from June 1 as published.
Yoga camp
DIMAPUR: A special yoga camp of Patanjali Yog Samiti, Haridwar would be held from June 14 to 19 at Delhi Public School, Dimapur. The inaugural programme would be chaired by Amiya Bardhan, rajya parbhris (women wing) on June 14 at 8am. All the interested students of Class XI and XII of DPS Dimapur have been requested to register their names or contact the centre in-charge Dr. Satya Prakash Kannujia at 9862419013 and Rozy Jemu at 9436015603.
