Khaghaboto GBs’ Union on Shozukhu- Zukihe bridge

Khaghaboto Kukami Kuqhakulu (GBs’ Union) on behalf of the people of Khaghaboto area and its surrounding areas has appealed to the chief engineer, (R&B) PWD, Nagaland to give attention to the delayed bridge construction project between Shozukhu village and Zukihe village in Dimapur district.The union in a press note by its chairman Jacob Zhimomi said the bridge had been a long felt dream of the people of Khaghaboto and its neighboring areas and after much anticipation the construction work of the bridge that would serve as lifeline for many villages started 3-4 years back bringing much relief to the people. However, the union said the construction work came to a standstill on several occasions due to reasons best known to the contractors undertaking the project.The union stated that according to knowledge of the people of the area, the DONER Ministry has been funding the project and was regularly releasing fund for the progress of the work and in 2010 the ministry has released fund for the said project but despite receiving payment of bill, the construction firm PABSCON has completely stopped the works. Khaghaboto GBs’ Union has appealed to the chief engineer, (R&B) PWD to intervene into the matter and direct the responsible company to immediately resume the construction works in the interest of the people of Nagaland.
‘Nagas Got Talent’ in Zunheboto
DIMAPUR: The mega ‘Nagas Got Talent’ contest organised by Pheto Music Association, Dimapur and co-organised by Amazing Gospel Band was launched on May 10 at Zunheboto. According to an official bulletin, manager, Amazing Gospel Band, Kiviho Achumi while interacting with the media officials at Medley Enterprises office building said the programme was being organised to identify the hidden talent of an individual, group and to promote their talent for self reliance. The winner of the finalist in the category of song/band, martial art, comedy and dialogue would be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 1 lakh to the individual and Rs. 2 lakh to the group along with a promotional audio/video recording at Pheto Music Studio.
