Topper among GHSS felicitated by DPDB

District Planning Development Board (DPDB) on Monday felicitated Neikesonuo from Government Higher Secondary School Kohima for securing highest total of 68.5% amongst government school students in HSLC 2010. The felicitation programme was held during the monthly DPDB meeting at DC’s conference hall.
Newly elected chairman of DPDB and advisor ITTE, Vikho-o Yhoshü, congratulated Neikesonuo and the principal and teaching faculty of GHSS Kohima for the commendable achievement. He stated that the felicitation programme was to appreciate and recognize outstanding students from government schools.
District Education Officer Kohima, Zaveyi Nyeikha, stated that DPDB recognizing outstanding students from government schools was a great challenge for all students. Congratulating Neikesonuo, Nyeikha encouraged her to raise the image of the district as the ambassador.
GHSS Kohima headmistress Zuboni Ngullie thanked the DPDB for encouraging students through felicitation. She added that the programme was a great privilege and source of encouragement for government school students.
Neikesonuo thanked the DPDB for organizing the programme in felicitation of her success. She stated that the programme was a boost to students and appealed to the board to continue such works with government schools. Short speeches were also delivered by the parent of Neikesonuo, and representatives from ANSTA, ASU and Chedema Students Union.
