DMC to review sudden price rise

Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) market rates and quality control cell have decided to review the sudden rise of prices during the past few months.
Atovi Zhimomi, advisor in-charge Markets Rate and Quality Control cell DMC has informed all the wholesalers/dealers of essential commodities, meat (all kinds), fish (all kinds) and hardware (all items) to produce the detail report pertaining to the actual cost price from company/sources, transportation charges and other taxation supported by a copy of invoice and other documents to the advisor in-charge Market Rate and Quality Control cell DMC on or before May 25.
Further, wholesalers/dealers failing to produce the detail report within stipulated time, DMC said it would be compelled to assess independently and fix the reasonable rate on the mentioned items. Meanwhile, DMC has informed that serious action would be initiated if any false evidence is found or detected in the document which may even lead to cancellation of trade licence.
