AR donates computers to old age home

The 16 Assam Rifles (AR) under the aegis of Headquarters 5 sector IGAR (N) donated computer sets, with peripherals including computer tables, chairs and printer to Old Age Home, Kohima and also presented steel almirah, Sintex water tanks (1000 liters), aqua guard, Dish TV, plastic chairs and others as part of DGAR MCA project.
Further, 13 AR on May 12 presented computers and other related equipment to the village administration to create computer awareness among the youth and children of Thenyizumi village.
Also, 20 AR in continuation with its efforts to preserve Naga culture, tradition and history provided two computers, accessories and furniture for Netaji Memorial at Medziphima which is involved in the research on Netaji’s association with the Nagas and Manipurs during the World War II.
Meanwhile, the Old Age Home, Kohima thanked Major General Sandeep Singh, SM, VSM, IGAR (N) for providing the facilities for the Old Age Home, Thenyizumi villagers lauded the efforts being initiated by IGAR (N) and PT Aienla Lemtor who is heading Nagaland Centre for Human Development and Information Technology thanked IGAR (N) for assisting her efforts which would enlighten today’s youth about the gallant action and patriotic fervor of the Nagas for attaining freedom of the country.
