Commissioner & Secretary, Department of Higher and Technical Education P. Francis Solo on Wednesday inaugurated the Higher Secondary section of St Mary’s Cathedral School (SMCS) Lerie, Kohima by cutting off the ribbon.
Speaking on the occasion .P. Francis Solo exhorted the students to be sincere in studies and regain the work culture which our ancestors cherished. He also told the students not only to look for the govt. jobs but also foresee better future in private entrepreneurship.
After the colourful inaugural function, there was a blessing ceremony of the new block constructed solely for Hr. Sec. Classes. Rev .Fr. Carolus Neisalhou the Vicar General of diocese of Kohima, led the blessing ceremony along with Rev. Fr. K C James the director of the school , Rev. Fr. Johny the principal of the school and Rev. Fr. Benny Secretary to Bishop of Kohima.
The function was attended by school board members, PTA executives, parents and students community. The class XI students were warmly welcomed by the staff and students of St Mary’s Cathedral Hr. Sec. School.
