DFCS staff directed to attend office
DIMAPUR: All officers and staff of Food and Civil Supplies (F&CS) have been informed to attend office on May 24 and 26. Director of food and civil supplies department informed that the department of Food and Civil supplies falls under essential services department and hence, the department was exempted from purview of proposed protest called by CANSSEA. All ADS/ SOSs/ IS have been directed to check attendance of all staff under their jurisdiction.
Water supply to be affected in Kohima
DIMAPUR: water supply to various parts of the state capital would be affected for 15 days due to diversion of 200mm dia CI pipeline near War Cemetery, Kohima for NH-39 division. PHE Urban Division Kohima SDO, Theyiengulie Linyü has informed that areas to be affected would include Midlane, Phoolbari, New Market, DC office, Assam Rifles, D-Block, Naga Bazar, North PS, Mission Compound, Kitsubozou, Seikhazou, Kohima village, DBS, Kezieke, Kenuozou, Bayavü, Sepfüzou, Kohima High School and New secretariat areas. General public have been requested to bear the inconvenience until restoration of pipeline.
NCSDU resolves to support CANSSEA
DIMAPUR: Nagaland Civil Secretariat Drivers’ Union (NCSDU) has resolved to support the agitation called by CANSSEA in the form of three days mass casual leave. Union president, C. Rengma and general secretary, Neiketuo Angami informed that the decision was made during NCSDU emergency meeting held on May 22 and further requested all members of the union to join the agitation.

unemployed, disabled entrepreneurs meeting

DIMAPUR: A meeting of unemployed and entrepreneurs of disabled people in Nagaland has being convened on May 26 at Hotel Saramati Dimapur at 11 am to discuss rights, current issues of Disabled entrepreneurs.
All entrepreneurs and unemployed disabled people from all districts of Nagaland have been requested to attend the meeting. For further details entrepreneurs are informed to contact Senti Walling Convenor (M) 9774022461 or Father Joy Resource Person (M) 9436004219.
NSCN/GPRN convenes meet

DIMAPUR: The CAO UT-I, NSCN/GPRN has called for a public meeting on May 24, 10 am at Chumukedima local ground, near Government Higher Secondary School. All general public under CAO UT-I, NGOs, students’ union, mothers association and the village authorities have been requested to attend the meeting.

Supervisors and enumerators training

DIMAPUR: All the supervisors and enumerator appointed for census 2011 under Dimapur Sadar have been informed that the training would be held as per the schedule date and time at Deputy Commissioner’s conference hall, Dimapur with effect from May 24. In a press communiqué Maong Aier, Deputy Commissioner and principal census officer Dimapur has requested all responsible to attend the training and action as per census act would be initiated against those who fail to attend the training.
