ULWS first general session held

United Labour Welfare Society (ULWS) held its first general session on May 15 at the residence of Chingmak Chang, DB and society treasurer. According to a press note, the meeting discussed on the aims and objectives of the society and decided that the society would look after the developmental activities within its jurisdiction giving emphasis on road conditions, drainage systems, sanitation, health hygiene’s, social disputes and to create civic awareness among all residents.
The meeting was chaired by L. Mongba Yimchunger, chairman ULWS and Tali Ao, DWO Tuensang and Tohoshe, DEO, Tuensang also shared their views. It may be mentioned that the residents of Old Medical “A” and Officer’s Colony, Tuensang consisting of 92 families together formed the ULWS on March 25 headed by L. Mongba Yimchunger as chairman, Among Yimchunger as general secretary for a period of three years and the executive board headed by Khaolao Khiamniungan as executive chairman and Jonathan Sangtam as executive secretary for a period of five years.
