NCC training camp concludes

Combined annual training camp which was attended by over 500 boys and girls cadets from 16 schools and colleges hailing from Mon, Mokokchung, Dimapur, Tuensang, Zunheboto, Kohima and Peren districts concluded on May 21 at Sainik School Punglwa. The highlight of the camp were small arms firing, conduct of ‘A’ certificate examination, social service, interschool/college cultural and sports competition, lecture cum demonstration on disaster management, workshop on HIV and AIDS and drug addiction, motivational lecture by guest speakers, training on horse riding and structured training programme.
Col Paramvir Yadav, SM Officiating Group Commander NCC group HQ Kohima, Lt Col S. Kapoor, Adm Officer and Group Captain B. Anardhanan, Principal Sainik School Punglwa visited the CATC and were briefed about the various activities by Camp Commandant. Sainik School Punglwa bagged best school overall championship and Baptist Higher Sec School Tseminyu was adjudged the runner-up.
