Grievance cell cum control room in Mon
DIMAPUR: In connection with the census 2011, the deputy commissioner Mon Dinesh Kumar IAS has set up a grievance cell- cum- control room for Mon district, headed by Wasu Kaitiry, EAC, Mon. The EAC will attend to all grievances and complaints received from the public and various other stake holders, on various issues and process for the timely redressal of the grievances and complaints. The grievance cell- cum- control room shall maintain a proper register, detailing the complaints received and action taken and the notification would come into effect from the date of issue of this order.
ANGDA informs members
KOHIMA: All Nagaland Government Drivers’ Association (ANGDA) has informed all its members that no government vehicle should be allowed to be driven by unauthorized persons so as to avoid any unwanted incident. It requested the members to adhere by the directives of the ANGDA (CC) for safety of both VVIPs and senior bureaucrats in the state.
Longleng Road Show meet
KOHIMA: An emergency meeting of all heads of departments in view of the Longleng Road Show and Phom Day will be held on May 26, 4 pm at the residence of DC Longleng C.K. Nihekhu. The DC has called all HoDs to attend the meeting and informed that no department representative would be entertained.
WDPA informs pesioners
DIMAPUR: Wokha District Pensioner’s Association (WDPA) has informed all the pensioners and family pensioners under Wokha District to submit PPO book and Bank Account Book to pension office and get signature or thumb impression in the format for pension revision on or before June 30.
SHPT yearly meeting
DIMAPUR: The yearly Sumi Hoho Phek Town (SHPT) meeting has been convened on June 2, 3 pm at SBC church compound, Phek town. All government servants have been requested to attend the meeting.
Rengma Hada Bosti meeting
DIMAPUR: Rengma Hada Bosti, Khatkhati has convened a general meeting on May 29, 10am. All members of Hada Bosti have been requested to attend the meeting and to contact the village committee members regarding the venue.
ANUTNA joint meeting
DIMAPUR: The executives of All Nagaland Unemployed Trained Nurses Association (ANUTNA) have convened a joint meeting with all its associate unit representatives on June 2, 10.30 am at Naga Hospital auditorium, Kohima. All responsible members have been requested to attend the meeting and absentees would be fined as per the association norms. All members of the association have also been requested to submit the registration fees to their respective unit representatives at the earliest.
RJD 41 A/C to join Congress
DIMAPUR: A joint meeting of 41 A/C Tizit Congress party and RJD was held on May 14 at Congress Bhavan where the RJD party 41 A/C Tizit resolved to merge to Congress party desired by the federating units. While welcoming the new members ACCC advisor, Pankham urged them to maintain the party norms and principles and also appealed for unity to strengthen the party and achieve the goal.
KTCN constitutes action committee
DIMAPUR: Kachari Tribal Council Nagaland (KTCN), Dimapur has constituted an ‘Action Committee’ to pursue the movement of KTCN against the government’s proposal to rename Dimapur. The ‘Action Committee’ was constituted in an emergency meeting held on May 23, attended by all the members of Dimapur Kachari organizations. In a press communiqué Joseph Mech, secretary in-charge publicity and information KTCN said the ‘Action Committee’ comprises of convenor, co-convenor, member secretary and twelve executive members.
LSU condoles
DIMAPUR: Lumithsami Students’ Union (LSU) has mourned the demise of Hoyili, mother of its former president who passed away on May 11. The union further conveyed condolences to the bereaved family.
Appeal to Kutsapo unit Congress party
DIMAPUR: Kutsapo unit NPF party leaders have appealed to chairman Kutsapo village unit Congress party to dismiss Zachineyi Vadeo, president 19 A/C Phek Congress unit from the party. In a press communiqué Nuvoyi Lohe, chairman and Vikato Rhakho, secretary Kutsapo unit NPF party said Zachineyi Vadeo included the members of NPF to Congress party list without any information and further said due to the unlawful activity the unit has been deprived from actual facility given by NPF party.
KMRSU silver anniversary
DIMAPUR: Kyong Middle Range Student’s Union (KMRSU) at co-ordination meet held with senior student leaders on May 22 at Lotha Hoho Ki, Dimapur resolved to celebrate the forthcoming silver anniversary on December 14 and 15 with Lakhuti Students’ Union as the host. The house also re-constituted various committees with regarding to the anniversary celebration during the co-ordination meet.
PTCSU grateful
Dimapur: Phek Town Chakhesang Students’ Union (PTCSU) has expressed gratitude to minister for health and family welfare Kuzholuzo Nienu for sponsoring its first ‘felicitation program’ held on May 20. The union also expressed gratitude to deputy commissioner Phek, Mikha Lomi for gracing the occasion as chief guest and donating a sum of Rs.10000 towards the union. The union also conveyed gratitude to all dignitaries, principals/headmasters, well-wishers, seniors and students of various schools/college for making the program a success.
Dimensions to launch books on June 15
DIMAPUR: Dimensions- school of phonetics and spoken english will release two books ‘Learn Spoken English at Home’ and ‘Say the Right Word’ on June 15, at the Dimensions Centre, Circular Road, Dimapur. The books will include audio CDs to provide a comprehensive learning aid that would include important aspects of spoken English presented in an easy, interesting and understandable sequence. Meanwhile, Dimensions will release two more books on ‘Management’ and ‘Improve your Vocabulary’ in the month of August 2010.
Shalom Bible Seminary graduation
DIMAPUR: The eleventh commencement exercises of Shalom Bible Seminary took place in the Chapel Hall of the Seminary in Sechü-Zubza on May 23. The Graduation speaker, Reverend Zhabu Terhüja, president of Eastern Theological College, Jorhat, spoke during the function. Six received their Bachelor of Theology degrees and 21 received Master of Divinity degrees.
