Lions Club of Kohima conducts free eye camp

A free cataract IOL surgery camp and ENT check up was conducted at Primary Health Center, Tening on May 20 by Lions Club of Kohima (LCK).
Altogether 12 cataract patients were successfully operated upon during the free cataract IOL Surgery Camp. LCK Members led by president, Lion Dr. Sashimeren Aier arranged transportations for picking up cataract patients from nearby villages and brought them at the Primary Health Center, Tening for the cataract surgeries.
Lauding the LCK, Dr. Kuotsuo, CMO, hoped patients who have been living in far flung areas of the state would continue to avail such free treatments provided by LCK.
LCK President Lion Dr. Sashimeren Aier in his introductory remarks highlighted various projects taken up by the Club and said they would continue to to provide more such free services to the people living in far flung areas of the state.
Lion Talitemsu Jamir, LCK Secretary, Lion Dr. Taku Lemtur, Eye Specialist and Lion Dr. Imli Wabang, ENT Specialist were part of the Team headed by LK President Lion Dr. Sashimeren Aier.
Others who joined the Camp are Dr. Hedungkiebe, Eye Specialist, Toshi Jamir, Operating Assistant, Temjenyangla, Operating Assistant, Api Nyekha, Nurse and Chingkiumhai, Nurse.
State Minister TR Zeliang also extended help to the Lions Team during the free camp. He donated Rs 50000 (fifty thousand) towards the camps.
