Kohima District Congress Committee (KDCC) has formed the Kohima District Centrally Sponsored Scheme Committee to check and monitor the implementation and progress of centrally sponsored scheme in the district. The committee would be headed by Kevi Vizo, convenor Ahie Kechü as secretary, Imkongmeren, Joel Kath and Myinthungo Mozhüi as members. KDCC affirmed that it was unanimous in its decision that the party mandates for presidential election scheduled on July should not be postponed. Reiterating its statement on May 6 seeking clarification to DAN government for diversion of 2,760 metric tons of PDS rice worth Rs 2.29 core meant for APL beneficiaries of Kohima district, KDCC President Prasielie Pienyü said the matter had fallen into the deaf ear of the present government. KDCC affirmed that it would pursue till truth was revealed and the offenders were punished.
