Wokha unit CANSSEA supports
DIMAPUR: Wokha Unit CANSSEA, while reposing faith and confidence in the newly elected office bearers of the central body has extended support and cooperation in its pursuits for realizing the aspirations of the government employees through democratic means. The unit also urged the state government to work out a solution, more humane and mutually beneficial to all.

Students conference emergency meet
DIMAPUR: Changkikong, Tzurangkong and Japukong Students conference has convened an emergency meeting on May 31, 2 p.m at Mangkolemba Community Hall. All presidents and executive members from three ranges, AKM representatives, Mangkolemba Town Student Union and Mangkolemba Division Development Joint Forum have been requested to attend the meeting.
7th Peren ACCC meeting
DIMAPUR: The 7th Peren Assembly Constituency Congress Committee (ACCC) has convened a joint meeting of all the village unit presidents, vice presidents, secretaries and treasurers on May 29 at Peren Town at 10am. All the PCC members, former INC candidate, frontal leaders, DCC office bearers, ACC office bearers and senior leaders from 7th Peren Assembly Constituency have been requested to attend the meeting. Further, all the Congress village units have been requested to send at-least three delegates to attend the meeting.

Enumerators and supervisors trg in Dimapur
DIMAPUR: The enumerators and supervisors training for conduct of Census-2011 in Dimapur town area would be held in the Durga Mandir Hall located at Kalibari Road, Dimapur from May 27 to 29, 9 am at Durga Mandir Hall located at Kalibari road, Dimapur. Deputy commissioner Dimapur and principal census officer, Dimapur Dr. Maong Aier NCS has requested all enumerators and supervisors to bring the two copies of stamp size photograph for identity card and also informed that necessary appointment letters and other Census materials shall be issued to the respective enumerators and supervisors during the training.

DIMAPUR: Naga Students’ Union Bangalore (NSUB) has informed all students aspiring to study in Bangalore that the admission procedures to various colleges within the city have begun. In view of the declared results for the HSLC and HSSLC examinations, NSUB is administering a students’ admission helpline in an effort to assist the aspiring students in the way-in and way-out of the procedures. Shalom Bible Seminary graduation
DIMAPUR: The eleventh commencement exercises of Shalom Bible Seminary took place in the Chapel Hall of the Seminary in Sechü-Zubza on May 23. The Graduation speaker, Reverend Zhabu Terhüja, president of Eastern Theological College, Jorhat, spoke during the function. Six received their Bachelor of Theology degrees and 21 received Master of Divinity degrees.

DIMAPUR: The executive council meeting of Tenyimi Union Dimapur (TUD) has been convened on May 29 at the union office at 10am. Lost and found
DIMAPUR: The Sub-Urban police personnel recovered an auto-rickshaw, registration number NL07/F-3675, engine number AEMBRF28579, chassis number MD2AAZZRWF00295 from Westyard colony, Signal Dimapur. In a press communiqué officer in charge, SBN PS Dimapur has requested the rightful owner to claim the vehicle by producing the original documents at Sub-Urban Police Station, Dimapur.
ATM card found
KOHIMA: An ATM card belonging to one Sepoy Rajinikanth J was found by a good samaritan on Wednesday. The rightful owner has been requested to collect it from the office of Nagaland Post Kohima, old NST, above Rutsa Bakery during working hours.
DYO clarifies report
DIMAPUR: Dimapur Youth Organisation (DYO) has refuted the press release issued by one Pukiho Zhimomi alleged to be the president of the organisation. DYO stated that Anito N. Shohe was the bonafide president of the organisation registered legally under Home department, Kohima. The organisation in its meeting on Wednesday declared to take action against any person who creates unwanted issue to incite problems and stated that any persons interfering in the affaisr of the organisation would be doing so at their risks. World No Tobacco Day
KOHIMA: The World No Tobacco Day on the theme “gender and tobacco with emphasis on Marketing to women” will be held on May 31, 2 pm with CJ Ponraj, IAS Principal secretary and Home Commissioner as chief guest.
Organised by the Department of Health & Family Welfare, the state level function will be held at Civil Secretariat Conference Hall, Kohima.

DIMAPUR: Padum Pukhuri Village Council (PPVC) has notified all residents and land owners not to block the drainage system or obstruct the out flow of water within the village jurisdiction. PPVC chairman Vitoka Katty and secretary I. Temsu Longchar have requested general public to extent cooperation towards the council to develop the village for a better living.
Mobile–ICTC conducts voluntary blood testing
DIMAPUR: Mobile - ICTC under Care and Support Society conducted counselling cum voluntary blood testing on HIV and AIDS at Imsutemjen Higher Secondary School, Mokokchung on May 24.
The programme was attended by Class 8 to 12 students where Moa Counsellor shared the current scenario of HIV as well as basic facts of HIV and AIDS. After group counselling altogether 147 persons including teachers led by principal came forward for blood testing.
Dimapur GBs asked to submit household list
DIMAPUR: Dimapur District GBs Association president M Y Ngullie and General Secretary T Onen Jamir has informed all GBs under Dimapur District to prepare detail list of household census in their respective Colony/Village/Ward and submit the same to association office, Super Market on or before June 20.
