New building for Dept of irrigation
KOHIMA: Department of irrigation and flood control new building -chief engineer’s office department located at New Capital Complex Kohima will be inaugurated on June 23,10 am by state chief minister Neiphiu Rio as the chief guest.
KBES executive committee meeting
DIMAPUR: Half yearly meeting of executive committee of KBES has been convened on June 24 to 25 at Mission Centre, Vankhosung at 4pm. All the executive committee members have been requested to attend the meeting.
Emergency meeting
DIMAPUR: Deputy Commissioner Kiphire C.M. Tsanglao has convened an emergency meeting on June 21 at DC office chamber, Kiphire at 11:30am to discuss on the progress of census process in the district. All census charge officers and other officers have been requested to attend the meeting.
Don Bosco Alumni meeting

Cleanliness drive at Chumukedima town
DIMAPUR: As a part of cleanliness drive, Seiuruzha colony (ward 8) of Chumukedima town has been informed to clean their respective plot and areas on June 25.
MYC augmentation programme
DIMAPUR: A curriculum augmentation program for HSLC repeaters is being organized by the MetatrIQs Youth Centre (MYC) Wokha at Mount Carmel School, Wokha from July to November. All interested candidates have been requested to enroll for the program at the office of the Head Master, Mount Carmel School by July 7. Sericulture training concludes
DIMAPUR: One-month training on silk weaving technology, designing and silk dying concluded on June 18. The training was conducted at Reeling and Twisting unit, Dimapur and Eri spinning and Grainage, Dhansiripar. 20 trainees from 10 districts participated in the training with assistant sericulture officer Z. Khamo Dolie as instructor.

ZGCSU freshers social program
DIMAPUR: Zunheboto Government College student union has organized 31 annual freshers social programme on June 18, 10 am. The Deputy Inspector of School Zunheboto Ati Yeptho graced the occasion as the resource person. DSYO on taxi parking
KOHIMA: Daklane Sector-III Youth Organization has informed all zonal taxi drivers not to park their taxis along Daklane Sector III. Stating that parking of taxis in the area had caused harassment to the public, the organisation cautioned that violation of rules would be done at their own risk.
BJYM new president feted
DIMAPUR: Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) Nagaland state has congratulated Anurag Thakur on his election to national BJYM president on June 16. Anurag Thakur is the sitting MP from Hamirpur (Himachal Pradesh). Nagaland BJYM expressed gratitude to central leaders for appointing him and expressed belief that under his leadership Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha Nagaland unit would be uplifted.
PH conducts free detoxification camp
DIMAPUR: Prodigals’ Home (PH), Dimapur is organizing a free community-based detoxification camp from July 5. In a press statement, Aya Chipang, coordinator organizing committee Prodigals’ Home has informed that the detoxification camp would be free for individuals willing to avail the service, followed by detail treatment subject to availability of sponsorship for those individuals desirous of a long term rehabilitation program at its rehab center or other rehab centers within Dimapur. Anti-rabies vaccination camp in Zbto
DIMAPUR: Department of Veterinary & AH, Zunheboto organized an anti-rabies vaccination camp on June 7 at Zunheboto town sponsored by ATMA, Zunheboto. The camp was inaugrated by Zhekheto, DSCO who is also the project director of ATMA Zumheboto. Around 200 dogs were vaccinated and the district Veterinary & AH officer spoke on the importance of regular vaccination and said that the department had been providing necessary vaccines and medicines for the public all year round.
Training on IPM in 3 villages under Jalukie agri-sub division
DIMAPUR: Department of Agriculture, Jalukie conducted Integrated Pest Management (IPM) training in Heningkunglwa, Mhainamtsi and Jalukieram under Jalukie sub-division on June 15 and 16.
According to a press statement, altogether 90 farmers attended the training which was conducted separately for three villages. Further, the officers and staff engaged for the training included R. Santsu Kitha, SDAO Jalukie; Renbomo Odyuo, Agri- inspector; I. Lucklee Chang, AFA and Lima Chang, AFA.
Condolence messages
DGU: Dimapur Gorkha Union (DGU) has mourned the sudden demise of Kheholi Sema wife of Singh and sister-in-law of Edward Arthur on June 19 at Thahekhu village. The union conveyed condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
MEYYOW: Mekokla Eloe Yanpoe Yanpi Okho Wokha (MEYYOW) has mourned the untimely demise of Orenboni Phom on June 10. The Mekokla Eloe Yanpoe Yanpi Okho Wokha in a condolence message expressed that late Orenboni was a dedicated woman and that her death was a loss to the society. Further, Mekokla Eloe Yanpoe Yanpi Okho Wokha conveyed condolence to the bereaved family and prayed that Almighty grant peace to the departed soul.
