Taking into account the lack of “positive response” from the state government concerning its RoP demand, the CANSSEA today directed all its confederated associations to activate preparatory ground for taking further course of action.
CANSSEA president Dr. K. David Sema and general secretary Vekho Vero Monday said in the backdrop of parleys with cabinet sub-committee held June 2 last over 6th RoP, they had forwarded their demands, in writing, twice to the government for redressal. However, till date, no positive response has been received from cabinet sub-committee, they added and warned it would be forced to initiate further course of action if no positive response was received from the government on or before June 25.
With regard to Rs.712 crore, allotted by union government for implementation of 6th RoP, the CANSSEA said: “there still looms uncertainty in the sincerity of the state govt. in implementing the RoP with true justice.”
Reiterating its earlier statement, the CANSSEA pointed out that all India services (AIS) was offered their due share of arrears w.e.f. January 1, 2006, however, state employees were being forced to accept “arrearless notional increment” from June 1, 2008.
In connection with this, the association asked if there can be a “little more kindness” shown to employees, by at least allowing them get arrears for period of one year, even if it was not implemented from Jan 1, 2006 like AIS all over India.
