Tenants Association meeting
DIMAPUR: Tenants of shopping arcade, Dimapur has convened an emergency meeting on June 29, 10:30 am at near Saramati hotel to discuss the issue relating to rent hike. All tenants have been requested to attend the meeting.
NSF 3rd federal assembly
DIMAPUR: Third federal assembly of Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) will be held on June 26, 10 a.m at Senapati district headquarter. President and representatives of the federating units, sub-ordinate bodies and senior leaders have been informed to attend the assembly.
DNSU 4th union assembly
DIMAPUR: The 4th union assembly of Dimapur Naga student union would be held on June 24, 11 am at hotel pink city conference hall behind the office of Naga council Dimapur, church road. All DNSU constituent unit president, general secretary and representatives, senior leaders of DNSU, tribunals of the union and all the DNSU executive members have been requested to attend the meeting.
DPE meeting
DIMAPUR: Dimapur Pangti Ekhung (DPE) half yearly general meeting has been convened on June 26, 9 am at Lotha hoho ki Dimapur. All Pangtian under DPE jurisdiction have been requested to attend the meeting.
PTA meeting
DIMAPUR: The 2nd session of Mon district private transport association general meeting has been convened on June 26, 10 am at council hall, Mon town. All vehicle owners within Mon district have been requested to attend the meeting.
PTA executive meeting
DIMAPUR: Private transport association has convened an emergency meeting on June 25, 2 pm at the residence of president MDPTA. All unit president and secretary of Aboi, Chen, Tizit and Naginimora have been requested to attend the meeting.
Rice distribution at Padum Pukhuri
DIMAPUR: Padum Pukhuri Village Council (PPVC) has informed BPL card holders of Padum Pukhuri to collect rice at council hall from June 23-25 between 6 am to 12 noon.
NPF Sitimi area meet
DIMAPUR: A meeting of 59th A/C Sitimi area unit NPF party organization has been convened on June 26, 10 am at the residence of Toivi Banker at Sitimi Town.
Medical board to verify services
DIMAPUR: Chief Medical Officer, Mon, Dr. Kikon has informed all heads of department under Mon district that medical board for confirmation of service/permanency/invilidation will be held on July 5, 10 am at the office of the CMO, Office Mon. All heads of department have been requested to submit the list of the employees to the CMO Office, Mon on or before June 30.
ORSU felicitation prog
DIMAPUR: Old Riphym Students’ Union (ORSU) in collaboration with churches and village councils would be felicitating Zuthunglo Patton, IFS and Abeno Patton inspector for industries and commerce respectively on June 26, 9.a.m at Old Riphyim Tourist complex. All members have been informed to attend the programme.
AKK joint meeting
DIMAPUR: Joint meeting of Aghunato Kipelau Kuqhakulu Zunheboto and advisor and members of ESZTSU have been convened on June 26, 12 noon at the residence of headmaster Asuto town Ghokiho.
GSU literary competition
KOHIMA: Gorkha Students Union (GSU) under Kohima district will hold its annual literary competition on June 25,11 am at GPP Hall Chandmari Kohima. All students have been requested to participate in the event and to collect their entry forms from their respective unit in-charge and submit it on June 24.
KSU combined meeting
Kohima: Kangching Students Union (KSU) has convened combined meeting on June 26 at the residence of Chingba Phom, A.G Colony. All students, executives, fresher’s and senior requested to attend the meeting.
ANGDA meeting
Kohima: Meeting of All Nagaland Government Driver’s Association (ANGDA) has been convened on July 3,10 am at CANSSEA office building . All members/ units have been informed to submit yearly membership fee for 2010 and also to submit dues of sold calendars at the meeting.
GSU meeting
Kohima : Ghokhuvi Students Union (GSU) has called a meeting on July 10 at its banker at Zunheboto. All the executives are requested to attend the meeting.
KDPA annual general meeting
Kohima: Annual general meeting of Kohima District Pensioner’s Association (KDPA) Kohima has been convened on July 27,11 am in the KDPA rest house ladies mile road. All members are requested submit agenda for future improvement of the association.
New colony chairman lauds
DIMAPUR: Chairman of New Colony, Purana Bazar on behalf of its denizens has lauded initiatives of public leaders and council chairman for serving the village ‘whole-heartedly’. According to colony chairman Vihoto Yepthomi the colony had seen new development under the chairmanship of L. Vikuto Wotsa, Pitu Mech head GB and VDB secretary Tohoshe Awomi under whose initiatives village council hall was instructed in the heart of Purana Bazar village.
Lost and found
DIMAPUR: One SBI ATM card belonging to Khaoshai Khiamniungan was found at west police station area. Rightful owner has been informed to get it from OC West Police Station, Dimapur.
Tehok 45 A/C INC members resign
DIMAPUR: Wangnao Angh of Chenliosho village under Tehok 45 A/C along with 13 households of INC have resigned and joined NPF party to support Marcofed Nagaland chairman and MLA, C.L. John. Informing this in a press note, Tehok 45 A/C NPF president, W. Phuhchao Konyak stated that the resigned INC members have resolved to join NPF in appreciation for development works undertaken by DAN government under the leadership of Nagaland chief minister, Neiphiu Rio, particularly in Mon and Tuensang districts, and also to strengthen the NPF party in the next general elections.
HIV and AIDS awarness at Tizit
DIMAPUR: Mobile ICTC in collaboration with Tizit DIC conducted awareness programme on HIV and AIDS was conducted on June 16 and 17 at Tizit area at four colonies Pentom, Pongma, Industry and Police colonies. The main objective of the programme was to sensitize HRGs and youth on HIV and AIDS and substance abuse, route of transformation and its preventive measures including harm reduction to lead a healthy life in the society. The programme was followed counseling and voluntary blood testing among the participants.
SNUNS condemns attack on Mao buses
DIMAPUR: South Naga Union of Nagaland State (SNUNS) has condemned the attack on two Mao bound buses by masked man on June 21 in Imphal. SNUNS president, Lokho in a press note stated “an attack being carried out by covering the faces is an act of cowardice” adding they should own up responsibility if their action was justifiable. The union stated that tribal people should not be blamed for any consequences if the authority failed to nab and identify the miscreant.
Chakhabama changed to Sakhabama
DIMAPUR: State governor, Nikhil Kumar in an order has changed the village name of Chakhabama to Sakhabama under Kohima district with immediate effect. Principal Secretary (Home) to Government of Nagaland, C.J. Ponraj has notified that ministry of Home Affairs Government of India had approved this issues vide letter No. 11/11/2009-M&G dated March 18, 2010.
Schemes for GBs
DIMAPUR: All Gaonboras (GBs) under Kohima Sadar Administrative Circle who had served as GB for 5 years and above till March 24 2007 or still serving as GB have been directed to submit names along with appointment order for availing Nagaland Gaonboras (GBs) welfare Scheme/Corpus Fund to the office of the DC Kohima on June 30. This was stated in an office order by ADC and Chairman, Kohima District Level Committee GB Corpus Fund, Alun Hangsing.
