DLE quarterly fellowship
DIMAPUR: Dimapur Lakhuti-i Ekhum (DLE) quarterly fellowship has been convened on June 26, 10 am at the residence of Dr Thungben Yanthan, Balijan. All DLE members have been requested to attend the fellowship.
AASU meeting
DIMAPUR: Aghunaqa area student union (AASU) has convened a meeting on June 26, 10am at ASSU sub-banker, Nepali Basti. All executive members, advisor board members, president and general secretary of Aghunaqa area Kukami Hoho, chairman and general secretary of village education committee union have been requested to attend the meeting.
MSK general meeting
DIMAPUR: Malayali Samajam Kohima (MSK) has convened a general meeting on June 26, 2 pm at capital institute, TCP gate, Kohima. All members have been requested to attend the meeting.
PVSU plantation day
DIMAPUR: Mass plantation day of Pangti village student union (PVSU) would be conducted on June 28. All the units, clubs and association under Pangti village have been informed to participate in the plantation day.
Wokha mass social work proposed
DIMAPUR: Mass social work proposed to be held on June 26 at Wokha has been deferred to July 3 due to some unavoidable circumstances. Athelo O Lotha, additional deputy commissioner Wokha has informed all responsible to take note of the change of date and also requested all to attend the social work.
GB Union appeals for cooperation
DIMAPUR: GB Union Dimapur has appealed all GBs of various colonies to cooperate with the DMC in solving sanitation problems. A meeting was held on June 23 where DMC discussed on the problems faced by the denizens living within the Municipal area. GB Union Dimapur general secretary, Yeheto Zhimomi in a releases stated that chief advisor with the advisors would be inspecting the ward/colonies to assess the problems faced by the citizens.
Statistics day on June 29
KOHIMA: Department of economics and statistics will be observing 4th statistics day on June 29 at the directorate, conference hall, to commemorate birth of anniversary of Prof. PC Mahalonobis, a pioneer in the field of the economic planning and statistics. Parliamentary secretary economics and statistics and IPR R. Tohanba would be the chief guest. A special lecture on the theme ‘Child statistics’ will be presented by Daisy Mezhür, secretary Nagaland State Social Welfare Board.
MOHFWSU meeting
TUENSANG: Mechanic operator, handyman field worker staff union (MOHFWSU)PWD Tuensang district has convened a general meeting on July 3 at PWD mechanical division office complex at 10am. All staff union members from outpost have been requested to reach by July 2. Members have also been informed to submit a sum of Rs 50 per head and to bring agendas to be discussed at meeting.
UKK student enrollment
DIMAPUR: Usutomi Kiphimi Kuqhakulu (UKK) would be collecting its annual student enrolment/ membership fee for the year 2010. All students of UKK have been requested to submit their name list to executive members.
NBC meeting
DIMAPUR: Notun Bosti Council (NBC) has convened a meeting on June 26 at Notun Bosti community hall at 7:30am. All the office bearers, council executive/khel chairman/secretary, GB and all responsible have been requested to attend the meeting. Further, requested to bring agendas if any and to submit it before the commencement of meeting.
DMC emergency meeting
DIMAPUR: Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) has convened an emergency meeting on June 26 at DMC conference hall at 11am. All the responsible proprietors of gas agencies under DMC jurisdiction have been requested to attend the meeting.
NPF Dimapur division meeting
DIMAPUR: NPF Dimapur division has convened a meeting on June 26 at the division office, Midland Dimapur at 8am. All the office bearers have been requested to attend the meeting.
TBSUD executive meeting
DIMAPUR: Tamlu Buhu Students’ Union Dimapur (TBSUD) has convened an executive meeting on June 26 at the residence of P. Phongshak, Purana Bazaar. All executive members have been requested to attend the meeting.
Distribution of AAY food grains
DIMAPUR: Assistant director of Food and Civil Supplies, Kohima has informed that AAY food grains for two months would be released from June 28 to 29 between 11am to 3pm. All the responsible FPS/village councils of Kohima centre have been requested to collect their respective quota within the stipulated period.
Issue of VLDI forms
DIMAPUR: All VDB secretaries under Dimapur district have been informed to collect village level development identity (VLDI) forms from June 28 to July 10 from the office at Super market, Dimapur.
KSUK first general meeting
KOHIMA: First general meeting of Khar Students Union Kohima (KSUK) has been convened on June 26, 9 am at the residence of its treasurer L. N. Walling officer’s hill near Raj Bhavan. All students from Class V and above have been requested to attend the meeting.

DIMAPUR: GPRN/NSCN has expelled Joseph Anal from National Socialist Council of Nagaland (NSCN) with immediate effect and until further order was issued. A press note issued by MIP GPRN/NSCN stated that Joseph was expelled from the party as per the directive of the Chairman S.S Khaplang, owing to “extreme dereliction of duty and subscribing to anti-party activities”.
CCFZ meeting
DIMAPUR: A general meeting of CCFZ has been convened on July 3, 1 pm at the residence of its chairman Vihoshe Muru.
International Day against drug abuse
DIMAPUR: Bethesda Youth Welfare Centre and Network for Nagaland Drug & AIDS Organization (N-Naga DAO) Unit Dimapur is organizing the International Day against drug abuse and illicit trafficking program under the theme “Think Health – not Drugs” on June 26, 10 am at Centre for Community Transformation , Training Complex, Walford. Deputy commissioner (Narcotic), department of excise, Dimapur, C. Nribemo Lotha would be the guest of honor for the progarmme. Poster painting competition and elocution contest on the theme for students of private hostellers in and around Dimapur town would also be conducted as part of the programme.
Congress leaders resign
DIMAPUR: Congress party leaders of Pathso Noking village under 57 Thonoknyu A/C have tendered resignation from the party and joined NPF. The resigned members have affirmed to support S. Heno, parliamentary secretary Fisheries, R&R and Printing & Stationary, Kohima and DAN government under the leadership of chief minister Neiphiu Rio and Dr. Shurhozelie, president NPF. According to a press statement issued by Liang, president Village Congress Committee (VCC) Pathso Noking village, resigned Congress party leaders include Liang, president VCC Pathso Noking; Pushong, general secretary Pathso Noking; Hatho, treasurer VCC Pathso Noking; Mongtsoa, joint secretary ACC and Niamkoi, DMC joint secretary (Mahila).
USSC lauds state government
DIMAPUR: United Sangtam Students’ Conference (USSC) has expressed gratitude to the state government for their concern in posting of administrative officers at Kiphire district including SDO (C), ADC and EAC. However, the conference stated that despites the recent posting, the district still lacked five EACs as per the district status and appealed the government to post the remaining Officers at the earliest. USSC also thanked the department of health and family welfare for providing Ambulance to Amahator and Sitimi PHCs seeing the difficulties in accessing facilities for better health due to bad communication. The conference assured that by providing the Ambulance, the people of those areas would be benefited and further requested the department to look into matter in regard to the shortage of staff in the health center.
