Training on gender empowerment, barefoot engineer

Training for village level agriculture extension workers, gender empowerment and bare foot engineer under BRGF and capacity building of Tuensang district concluded here on Thursday at town hall, Tuensang.
Resource persons for the training included personalities from various department, including, Menungchetba, agri officer Tuensang on the topic, cultivation of ginger.
S. Apakhiung Agri field assistant spoke on cultivation of cardamom, Sarendi Walling SMS Animal science KVK Tuensang, who shared on piggery management integrated with fish rearing and Imtilemla SMS Soil conservation KVK Tuensang, spoke on awareness on soil & water conservation, P. Shingnyu (TOT) shared on gender budgeting, Mhomo Tungoe EAC Tuensang spoke on role of women in the development process, Ason ECS and Linghola ECS shared on HIV & AIDS and Health nutrition, Anungla DIS Shamator also spoke on the role of women in development process. Temjentoshi VI Electrician ITI Tuensang deliberated on basic knowledge, application and precaution uses of electricity and Sethrongchem VI Carpentry ITI Tuensang also shared insight on carpentry while Ada Vero (Mech. Engineer) NRHM Shamtor shared on application of hydraulic machine.
The training for agriculture extension workers, gender empowerment and barefoot engineer for eight RD block of Tuensang district including, Chare, Longkhim, Sangsangnyu, Noksen, Shamator, Chessore, Noklak and Thonoknyu was held from June 15 to 24 was sponsored by SIRD Kohima and jointly organized by TOT and DRDA Tuensang.
